Do you ever feel, "I'M MAD AS HELL AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!", when you think about what YOUR GOVERNMENT is doing? Have you ever telephoned your Senator or Congressman/woman and been told that your voice does not matter (very politely, mind you), that the Senator/Representative will follow the agenda of someone else? What about us, the "little people" who voted for our "Representative" or Senator to "represent" us in Washington, DC? The politicians who care little for the voting public once the politicians get to their Washington offices are POLITICAL LEMMINGS. These Political Lemmings need to be REPLACED with Representatives and Senators who are RESPONSIVE to We The People.
The members of the House of Representatives are supposed to represent the citizens of the Congressional District that voted for them. In the federal government, the " People" are represented in the House of Representatives (435 members).
According to the Constitution, "The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State, (chosen by the Legislature thereof,)...". This changed with the 17th Amendment to the Constitution; now, the Senators are selected by the people of the state by popular vote. Meaning, Senators are "free agents" who do not represent the states (as the Constitution created that body), the Senate is like a 100 member House of Representatives, except with a different job assignment.
